The main purpose of Slackers Inc. is to revive old school text based adventure games. Currently, the group is working on their first major project which is titled "The Quest to Find the Dark Hills." It is because of this highly popular text game that Slackers Inc. has decided to create an official forum.
With the game's final release date looming (just after the beginning of the new year), the staff of Slackers Inc. has developed a place for fans of the game (as well as those curious about text games) to get together and discuss "The Quest to Find the Dark Hills" as well as any future text games which will be released. In the forum you can post any ideas you have about making the text games better as well as note any technical errors you may have found in them. There is a technical guide to the game, a board for FAQ's and even a place for you to find a list of hidden "easter eggs" in the game!
Not only is the official forum a great place to get information on the text games and meet fellow text adventure fans but it also gives you an opportunity to get to know the Slackers Inc. staff. If you're interested in becoming a member of the staff, you can also click on over to the Slackers Inc. official website as well to fill out an application. So don't be shy...stop on by!

With the final release date of the full version of "The Quest to Find the Dark Hills" being set for January 9th 2010, there is already quite a buzz going around about all of the newly added (since the demo version) features and hidden "easter eggs" within the game. For more information on these things you can have a look at the offical Slackers Inc. forum. You can also discuss what you think about the game both before (from all the rumours and hype) and after playing it. If that's not enough Slackers Inc. for you hardcore fans, there are also links to the official website AND the facebook page in the information section of the forum. The Slackers Inc. facebook community is growing rapidly but we are still looking for active members to join the official forum. Not only will you be kept up to date on all things Slackers Inc. but you will also be eligible for member exclusives. After talking to the founder of Slackers Inc., I have a little insight to upcoming contests and games. It'll definitely be worth signing up on the official forum to keep updated as more information is released! |
