Well, I suppose I'll be the first to showcase something =] I made this about a month ago, and I hadn't really designed anything in awhile... but after hearing the song Her Name Is Alice by my favorite band Shinedown, I got inspired to make this: Oh and I haven't seen the movie... didn't really have the desire to see it.. but I LOVE the song.

I really like your ability to use a bunch of colors and make your graphics blend smoothly. Not A lot of people can do that. I really like how you were able to blend the signature as a whole, the mad hatter (or whoever he is) seems like he's lurking out of the corner or something, and you got him in there just right. I really like this

Thanks Amanda! :] Really appreciate the feedback. I think blending and placement of images are a couple of my strong points, as I've been told before that I work well with those aspects.
And yeah that is the Mad Hatter, a.k.a. Johnny Depp. I felt that the look on his face in that photo perfectly described the "Come out and play" part of the song.. especially with how Brent Smith (lead vocalist of Shinedown) sings that particular line as well.

April, you did an awesome job on the creativity of this signature. I really like it. It all flows nicely together, and the text isn't plain.. I love that.

Thanks Bella! The text is actually what gave me the most trouble.. haha.. but I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to text and it's usually what takes the longest for me. =p

Hahaha, to be honest, I'm not sure I'd know where to start in making a tutorial on text.. basically I just use the trial-and-error process.. just play around with the different features in the "Blending Options..." dialog box until you find something that looks right. It all depends on the kind of graphic that you're making and what you want the text to accomplish in terms of the graphic as a whole.
